Dr. Frank Freed, my late husband and director of CC’s counseling center for ten years, saw that he was starting to have some struggles with memory. He was educated about what to do to prevent dementia and Alzheimers, and therefore gave a seminar on “The Aging of the Mind.” Eighty five people came to hear his talk. It became apparent to us, that this age group needed something. This is when the 50+ Luncheon began.
The 50+ Luncheon is a constant that people can rely on. We want this to be a community event for those of us who are full of life and curiosity, who want to learn something new every day, and experience life to the fullest, all while reaping the rewards of practicing our Christian faith. In the past we’ve had musical guests, acting snippets, aerobic teaching, faith teaching, interviews, and authors. We pray together and focus on positive thinking.
We would love for you to join us as we make new friends and learn to make the most out of life. “God loves you, and so do we” – Bobby Schuller.
